Event Details

Speakers: Marjorie Afitu and Lewis Boyles

This title expresses the words of Marj -a Pacifica whaiora who has a well-established diagnosis of bipolar disorder. Marj has had numerous long admissions over the years and when unwell recognised she wouldn’t listen to anyone; family, staff, doctors – however she might just listen to herself.

As part of this Webinar presentation, you will get to listen to her story of how her Advanced Audio-Visual Directive evolved, get to see her work, and have the opportunity to ask questions of Lewis and Marj around the whole process.

Coming from a nursing perspective, Lewis will look to Te Ao Maramatanga: New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses IncStandards of Practice for Mental Health Nursing in Aotearoa to summarize the work of this collaborative project.
