Taking Mental Health, Addiction and Disability Nursing Forward to 2030

Te Ao Maramatanga: NZ College of Mental Health Nurses Inc (Te Ao Maramatanga), the NZNO-Mental Health Nurses Section, (NZNO), and the Directors of Mental Health Nurses national group (DoMHNs), are collaborating on a consensus document that will present a united voice to set the direction of the specialty areas of mental health, addiction, and disability nursing (MHAD) roles and contributions to health care for the next decade to 2030.

On behalf of the above Collaborative, Te Ao Maramatanga is leading on the expressions of interest from a partnership of Maori and tauiwi (the contractors) to complete this project (link to project brief). The successful contractors will be supported and guided by the Te Ao Maramatanga College Manager, as subject matter expert and to provide a link to relevant sector partners, person(s) with lived experience and whanau.

The link to the project brief Te Ao Maramatanga Expressions of Interest Contract – Future of MH Nursing 2020 outlines the criteria to complete the project including a projected timeline, and details of the remuneration for completing the project. If you are interested in undertaking this opportunity to contribute to the nursing workforce of the future, please can you forward the following details:

  • your current CV detailing your knowledge, skills, and any previous experience in preparing similar documents;
  • a proposal of how you will partner as tauiwi and Māori contractors to meet the aims and activities within the project brief;
  • details of referees (2) who will support your application for the project.
