I am a registered mental health nurse with over 25 years of experience working in the mental health services in Aotearoa (New Zealand)
My current role is the NESP nurse educator (Māori) .5 and the Māori workforce development leader for MHAIDS. I have work experience in the area of Maori mental health, forensic community and in patient services, general mental health, acute mental health services and mental health youth services.
I am a member of the MHAIDS Kaumatua Kaunihera roopu and a member of the zero seclusion roopu for MHAIDS
My passion is growing mental health nurses and that is why I am a member of Te Ao Māramatanga NZ College of mental health nurses.
I am also in the Māori caucus of Te Ao Māramatanga and the vice President of Te Ao Māramatanga national board.
