My eldest kotiro and her Ngai Tahu, Katimāmoe and Muaupoko husband live in Putāruru and she works for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and her husband works for Ngāti Ranginui as Environmental Manager. My youngest kotiro lives in Manurewa and works for Te Toka Tumai and her husband Samoan New Zealand born, is a Social Worker with Ara Poutama Aotearoa.

I am a proud nāni of seven mokopuna, the eldest is 15 years old and the youngest is 5 years old in December.

I currently work for Te Toka Tumai, as Co-Director Kāhui o te Ihi-Mental Health and Addictions . I have been in my role for almost 5 years. The role is clinical and operational part of that operations is to implement Te Tiriti o Waitangi and eliminate inequities for Māori within Kāhui o te Ihi. In this role, you can’t help being a mental health nurse in amongst it all – providing good pathways in and out of services for tangata whaiora and also caring for our workforce. Big mahi, and it is such a pleasure to be a servant of our people in Tamaki Makaurau and our staff.
