Service:     Hutt South Team Community Mental Health and Addiction Services (CMHA&AS)

Contract:   Full time

Salary:      $66,570 – $95,340 (Step 1 – 8) PSA Salary dependant on experience.

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

We have part time/fulltime vacancies for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our integrated multi-disciplinary team. You will be working with an experienced team who strive to provide high quality care/treatment to tangata whaiora family/whanau requiring access

 If you are  a Registered Mental health nurse with the following attributes we are looking for you

  • Ability to work using a team nursing approach within the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), demonstrate values consistent with those of the MHAID Wellington District Services
  • Committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
  • Practicing in a manner that service users determine as being culturally safe
  • Working effectively with the tangata whaiora/consumers/whanau in community mental health and addiction services.

Hutt South community Mental Health Community Team is made up of colleagues who have a range of clinical skills, engaged and passionate about working alongside people experiencing moderate to severe mental health illness. We offer an exciting and collegial work environment and provide support with your portfolio and on-going professional development. We also provide opportunities to work in a variety of clinical settings. 

Moū – About you

Demonstrates skills and experience

  • working with/alongside people experiencing moderate to severe mental health and Addiction issue
  • Formulate and develop risk management plans and articulating treatment needs 
  • Case management and coordinate care for tangata whaiora/consumers and their families. 
  • Possess team approach commits to provide person / family centered care, using current evidence to assist people to achieve their optimum health
  • Communicate with a wide range of people, leading meetings and documenting outcomes and plans.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • In providing person / family centered care, using current evidence to assist people to achieve their optimum health
  • Active involvement and progression along the PDRP
  • Demonstrated competence in Competent and skilled with Computer programmes

Essential for the candidate to have 

  • Full clean Driver’s License
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
