Location: Mental Health Services (Kensington Centre)

We’re looking for a proven Clinical Leader to assume responsibility for guiding safe and effective patient safety and quality of care processes.

Life is a collection of small moments: meaningful moments, challenging moments, moments to remember. At SCDHB, we want to support our people to enjoy more of the moments that matter. Are you ready to join us?

Right now, we’re looking for a proven Clinical Leader to assume responsibility for guiding safe and effective patient safety and quality of care processes across Community Mental Health and Addiction Services (both DHB and NGO Providers). This new role comes about as one of the recommendations identified as being a key outcome from our comprehensive review of MHA services within South Canterbury.

You will also be eager to ensure a client-centred care approach becomes fully integrated along with incorporating key priorities which have been developed around the strategic direction for Mental Health and Addiction Services nationally, (including Whakamaua: Māori Health Action Plan 2020-2025).

You will be someone with an advanced practice level within Mental Health and Addiction Services, coupled with the drive and leadership to achieve equitable outcomes for all requiring mental health support. As such you will have high emotional intelligence and a style of leadership that advocates for and supports staff to flourish in their own right.

You’ll have the ability to engage collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders that span the continuum of care provision across our District.

This is a rare and genuine opportunity for you to use your skills to help us forge a defining path that has the potential to future proof the approach and direction that MHA services will take locally.

If you’ve always wanted to prove your inspirational leadership style then this moment is yours!

Why choose South Canterbury DHB?

As one of the country’s smaller DHBs, our people always have room to move and grow. You’ll enjoy the advantages of a flat team structure, where processes run smoothly and there are no barriers to leadership or innovation.

On top of all that, you’ll get to enjoy the fantastic Timaru lifestyle: between the beach and the mountains, that long-coveted work-life balance is truly achievable here.

At SCDHB, integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and excellence are at the heart of everything we do. We are a proudly diverse team, as we know a diverse and inclusive workforce achieves the best outcomes for our patients and communities. If you share in these core values and bring them into every aspect of your approach to work, we can’t wait for you to join us.

Apply now – this moment is yours! Apply here: website job vacancy

Applications close Monday, 7 March 2022.
