I have worked in a range of clinical spaces in both secondary and Primary health and tertiary education over my 30 years of nursing. I am the Senior Māori academic Staff for our nursing programme at Te Whare wānangā o Waikato.
My local and national roles include Co-Chair for Kawa Whakaruruhau Wharangi Ruamano – Māori nurses and educators Roopu, Co-Chair for Kawa Whakaruruhau Komiti Te Huataki Waiora – Māori educators Roopu University of Waikato, Interim Chair for Komiti Māori NCNZ, Board Member for Te Ao Māramatanga and member of Te Kaunihera o ngā Neehi Māori o Aotearoa- Māori Nursing Council o Aotearoa.
I bring a raft of skills and knowledge to the Board table from these roles and other leadership opportunities over the past three decades. My focus is ensuring the nation works towards mental wellness to achieve their optimum health and wellbeing.
