I have an absolute commitment to working within the mental health and addictions sector and have done so for the last 31 years as a registered nurse in a range of mental health and addiction services in England, Australia and New Zealand. I have held a number of nursing leadership roles both clinically and as a professional Nursing lead within NHS and DHBs.
My current role is within the NGO sector as a General Manager with Pathways Health Ltd. supporting services in Auckland and Taranaki. I continue to hold an APC and am an active member of our national clinical governance group at Pathways, representing a nursing perspective. I am committed to growing the profile of mental health nursing in our NGOs and primary care for the future of our communities. I represent an NGO perspective as a member of the advisory board for our New Entrance to Specialist Practice with the University of Auckland.
I have also been a member of Te Ao Māramatanga for a number of years with our Auckland branch and am keen to support the ongoing growth and influence of the college across Aotearoa. I am privileged to be in a position that can do this via membership of the board.
