I have worked in forensic mental health for almost 10 years I am currently the clinical nurse specialist for Purehurehu medium secure inpatient and one of the associate directors of nursing for MHAIDS. During this time, I completed my masters in professional practise on stigma and discrimination towards those who experience mental distress. Educating on stigma and discrimination is one of my main passions providing people space and knowledge to reflect on how the labels we use effect the care we provide.
