I am a wife, mother to 3 adult kids and a proud nanny to my 8 mokopuna. I currently live in Whanganui and am doing contract mahi for Turuki Health Care in Auckland. I am a registered nurse and specialised in mental health for the past 19 years. My nursing career I have predominantly worked in Primary care, seeing what in the wellness and unwellness. I have worked in various Māori organisations across the north island in many roles, in the past 6 years in leadership. I have passion for workforce development and providing training to clinicians and non clinicians. I love to share my knowledge and skills to others. I am Co-Chair of Te Kete Pounamu Māori Lived Experience Mental Health and Addictions. I am a board member of Te Ao Māramatanga and on various advisory groups which I provide my lived experience and clinical knowledge. My passion is working with when, community and individuals. I know I am put into spaces to help make a difference and be a voice for our people I serve.
